Day Rooms at Singapore Changi Airport
A long daytime layover at Changi does not have to be spent in a chair. Three products cover the daylight hours, one airside and two landside.
Airside: 6-hour blocks at the Changi Transit Hotels
The Changi Transit Hotel Terminal 1 and its Terminal 2 and 3 counterparts sell rooms in 6-hour blocks at any hour, with a minimum stay of three hours and extensions at about SGD 25 per hour. Because the hotels are inside the departure transit area, there is no immigration, no visa question and no luggage recheck: you sleep, shower and walk back to your gate. This is the default day-room choice for connecting passengers.
Landside: YOTELAIR day rates in Jewel
YOTELAIR sells Premium Queen Cabins for daytime stays between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm, minimum four hours. The cabins are landside on Level 4 of Jewel, so you clear immigration, and in return the Rain Vortex, Jewel’s food halls and the Canopy Park are outside the door. It suits arriving travellers with an evening flight onward, or anyone whose layover doubles as a first look at Singapore.
One stop away: Dorsett Changi City
Dorsett Changi City Singapore has offered day-use rates through day-use booking platforms, a full-size studio a 5-minute walk from Expo MRT and one stop from the airport. Check current availability for your date; it is the roomiest option of the three for the money.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I rent a room at Changi for just a few hours?
Yes, three ways: the Changi Transit Hotels sell airside rooms in 6-hour blocks (minimum three hours) in Terminals 1, 2 and 3; YOTELAIR in Jewel sells daytime cabin stays from four hours between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm; and Dorsett Changi City has offered day-use rates one MRT stop away.
Do I need a visa for a day room?
Not for the Changi Transit Hotels, which are airside, inside the transit area. YOTELAIR and every hotel outside the airport are landside, so you must clear immigration first.
Can I extend my stay past the block I booked?
At the Changi Transit Hotels, yes, subject to availability, at roughly SGD 25 per hour. Extending a YOTELAIR day stay depends on cabin availability that evening; ask at the desk before your window ends.
